The most special thing about this church is that it is located in a In the busy city, it is rarely seen by people because it is hidden in the building complex and cannot be seen from the outside. It is the Chapel of Christ the King.
Christ the King Chapel, built in 1928, is almost a hundred years old and is now listed as a first-class historic building. Although it is called a chapel, the church building is not small, but very grand. At first glance at the site, I thought I had gone to Europe.
Near the Chapel of Christ the King, there is the HKSKH St. Mary’s Church. , which was introduced before and is full of Chinese architectural style. Two churches with completely different architectural styles, each with Chinese and Western characteristics. They are so close, and this unique scenery, Or maybe it’s unique to Hong Kong, a melting pot of Chinese and Western cultures.
This episode will start from the MTR Causeway Bay Exit F1 and go all the way to Christ the King Chapel. Without further ado, let’s go to the movie.

Every Halloween, everyone takes the opportunity to dress up as ghosts and have a great time. When it comes to dressing up for the festival, there are all kinds of props and decorations. This year we continue to visit Fuk Wing Street in Sham Shui Po. This is a famous toy street. Every time there is a holiday, the shops there will sell related toys or props. This year’s Halloween is of course no exception. There are all kinds of masks and props to dress up as various ghosts and monsters, and of course the pumpkin, the symbol of Halloween, is indispensable.
Compared with the past, there are no popular film and television programs this year, so there are no relevant characters for everyone to dress up. It seems that when the Squid Game was very popular a few years ago, there were many related props for sale, making it easier for everyone to dress up as the characters in the show. Even so, it doesn’t mean this year won’t be exciting. This year is more pure, with a full Halloween feel, so the atmosphere is still quite strong when you watch it at the venue.
==================================
The last episode introduced the HKSKH St. Mary’s Church.. Its appearance is full of traditional Chinese architectural style, which is different from other churches. In this episode, we will continue to introduce another church with a Chinese-style appearance, which is the HKSKH Holy Trinity Cathedral.
HKSKH Holy Trinity Cathedral, located on Ma Tau Chung Road, was built in 1936 and is now rated as a Grade II historic building. In addition to the main building itself being full of Chinese characteristics, there are also drum towers and bell towers on both sides of the main building. The drum tower and bell tower are most reminiscent of the evening drums and morning bells of the temple. Their existence has greatly strengthened the Chinese architectural style of HKSKH Holy Trinity Cathedral.

In previous episodes, we have introduced some temples hidden in Hong Kong. In the next two episodes, we will take you to see the churches in Hong Kong.
As a place where Chinese and Western cultures meet, it is no surprise that there are churches. However, the church we visited in this episode definitely doesn’t look like a traditional church from the outside, and has no Western style at all. On the contrary, the entire building is made of red bricks and green tiles, which is absolutely Chinese style. Without any introduction, you would think it was a Chinese temple.
This church is HKSKH St. Mary’s Church, built in 1936 and now listed as a Grade I historic building in Hong Kong.
Let’s go and see this unique church.
